Carlyn Stefanelli, Head Coach
Coach Stef started playing lacrosse in 4th grade. She played club lacrosse throughout middle school and high school for Jackals. She attended Good Counsel High School, where she played lacrosse, field hockey and track. Stefanelli graduated in 2010 and went on to attend West Virginia University. She played lacrosse at West Virginia University, where she graduated from in 2014. She has played every position except goalie.
Following college, Stefanelli immediately began coaching lacrosse while starting a career in marketing. She has been coaching for 10 years. She has helped her players get recruited to Virginia Tech, Longwood University, Shepherd University, Delaware State University, McDaniel College, and Bridgewater College. She has worked in education for the last 5 years serving in administrative roles. She began Savage Sports in 2023 to better serve athletes in different states, focusing on skill development and player personal growth. She is currently the Varsity lacrosse Head Coach at Georgetown Visitation and coaches the 2028s for M&D DC. She is USA Lacrosse certified.

Margarite Stefanelli, Lacrosse/Field Hockey Coach
Coach Margi started playing lacrosse in 4th grade and field hockey in 5th grade. She soon fell in love with both sports and played club lacrosse for Rebels Lacrosse Black from 2011-2018. She was an attacker in lacrosse and forward in field hockey. She played both lacrosse and field hockey at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, making the varsity teams her junior year. She then was nationally awarded for her outstanding performance for the Good Counsel Varsity Field Hockey team, as she scored 10 goals in her junior year and 14 goals her senior year. Numerous of these goals were scored as tie breakers in sudden-death WCAC games.
Margarite received offers to play at the collegiate level and decided to follow her sister’s footsteps at West Virginia University. She played 3 years of lacrosse there, beginning as an attacker and excelling to a full-time midfield. She was elected the roles of Treasurer in 2020 and would later become the Vice President in 2021. In 2022, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a minor in Human Services. After graduating, Margarite returned to her alma mater to be the field hockey JV head coach for the 2022 season. She then went to get her masters of science in Sport Coaching at WVU.
Coach Margi currently resides in Austin, TX. She works at Crunch Fitness and coaches Club lacrosse for Grit and JV lacrosse at Andersone HS.
